I have just completed a new travel retouching series called One Cloudy Day in Venice. It is a visual story capturing the city’s calm rhythm under a soft, overcast sky. This project explores how Venice transforms when the sun hides and the usual golden reflections turn into gentle shades of grey, teal, and muted amber. Through around cinematic photographs, I focused on the quiet beauty of canals, bridges, and gondolas resting in still water, revealing the emotional depth of this timeless place.
The editing process was guided by a love for mood and atmosphere. I wanted each image to feel like a frame from a film: subtle, detailed, and full of texture. The palette is inspired by analog tones, slightly desaturated yet rich in emotion, emphasizing the interplay between light, shadow, and reflection.
